In a landmark step to enhance regional economic cooperation, Parlas Weil Flores Incorporation (Philippines) and Swadeshi Industries & Leasing Limited (India) have signed a strategic partnership agreement at Bhubaneswar, Odisha, to jointly promote ASEAN business development, bilateral trade, investment, and industrial innovation across South and Southeast Asia mainely in Agriculture & Agrotech food processing .
The agreement was signed between Dr. Nitin Sharma, Director & CEO of Swadeshi Industries & Leasing Limited, and Ms. Julie Anne Flores, President & CEO of Parlas Weil Flores Incorporation and Philipines Embassy Trade Development Representative.
This collaboration also includes Flores Inc. and envisions comprehensive cooperation in industrial development, agriculture, technology exchange, trade relations, and sustainable enterprise growth.
Under this partnership:
Both organizations will jointly develop MSME Industrial Parks in the Philippines and other ASEAN countries, creating platforms for manufacturing, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
In India, the MSME Promotion Council will promote and invite entrepreneurs and startups to establish businesses in Swadeshi MSME Industrial Business Parks, fostering local and global enterprise linkages.
The initiative will focus on industrial modernization, agri-business, renewable energy, EV mobility, digital technology, and startup incubation to strengthen India–ASEAN economic corridors.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Nitin Sharma highlighted that this collaboration would bridge opportunities between India and ASEAN markets, generating sustainable industrial growth and employment. Ms. Julie Anne Flores emphasized the shared commitment to building cross-border partnerships that drive inclusive development and economic resilience.
This partnership aligns with the vision of “Viksit Bharat 2047” and ASEAN Vision 2030, aiming to create a new era of cooperation in trade, innovation, and MSME-driven industrial progress between India and the ASEAN region.Both countries will work on trade exchange and entrrprenuership development prograame , woman empowerment and rural development also for small industrial development .
